GEMA’s International Current Affairs Competition is an exciting platform designed to enhance students’ awareness of the world around them. Aimed at students from grades 1-8, this competition covers a wide range of topics including global events, environmental issues, famous personalities, and technological advancements. Through a fun and interactive multiple-choice quiz format, we challenge young learners to stay informed and think critically about important issues. Our mission is to encourage curiosity, promote knowledge, and develop well-rounded global citizens.
Marking scheme
A total of 25, 35, 40, and 50 questions for classes 1st, 2nd, 3rd to 5th, and 6th to 10th, respectively.
Ranking Criteria
The ranking criteria are decided on the basis of total marks obtained in various sections of the exam.
Syllabus
The syllabus for all topics is based on the syllabus of the student's immediate last two classes in school.
How Exam will be Monitored
Remember this is an AI Proctored exam, System will automatically terminate exam if unusual behavior is found.

Syllabus
Every Grade has 5 Sections, Equal Questions will be asked in each section. In the Exam students can choose any 3 Sections out of Five as per their choice and answer questions asked from their chosen section. There is no need to attempt questions from rest two sections.
Grade 1-2
(5 Sections - 20 Questions - 20 Marks)
- Famous Personalities (simple identification)
- International Sports (Olympics, World Cup)
- Popular Cartoons and Animated Characters (Mickey Mouse, Dora, etc..
- Animals and Their Habitats (polar bears in the Arctic, lions in the savannah)
- Children’s Literature and Books (like fairy tales, famous children’s authors)
Grade 3-4
(5 Sections - 35 Questions - 35 Marks)
- Important World Leaders
- Countries and Capitals (with recent changes)
- Space Discoveries (space missions, astronauts)
- Science and Technology Innovations (simple examples)
- Key Global Events (natural disasters, new findings)
Grade 5-6
(5 Sections - 35 Questions - 35 Marks)
- Political and Social Leaders (recent elections, leadership changes)
- Major Global Conferences (climate, education summits)
- Recent Scientific Innovations (AI, health-related research)
- Significant World Events (natural disasters, international collaborations)
- Sports Tournaments (World Cup, Olympics, international events)
Grade 7-8
(5 Sections - 50 Questions - 50 Marks)
